Frequently asked questions
What counts as a device?
Any network element added to vConfig for backup, monitoring or inventory — a router, switch, or firewall. Servers running vConfig itself are not counted.
What happens if my subscription expires?
Your installation keeps running — we never lock you out of your own infrastructure. It reverts to Community Edition limits (10 devices, no updates or support) until you renew. Existing data is preserved.
Is there a trial?
Community Edition is the trial: every module, up to 10 devices, forever. Upgrade only when you need more capacity.
Where does my data live?
On your own servers. vConfig is fully self-hosted; device credentials and configurations never leave your infrastructure. Only license activation exchanges a small signed payload with our servers.
Which payment methods do you support?
Credit/debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and WeChat Pay — processed by our merchant of record, Paddle. Prices are in USD; your bank settles in your local currency.
What is your refund policy?
Full refund within 14 days of first purchase, no questions asked — see our Refund Policy. Email [email protected].
Do you offer support in Chinese?
Yes — tickets are answered in English and Chinese, and the product UI ships in 8 languages.
