Refund Policy
Effective date: July 26, 2026
1. Scope
This policy covers every vConfig subscription purchased on vconfig.ai. Paid subscriptions are sold and billed by our merchant of record, Paddle.com Market Limited, and refunds are returned by Paddle to your original payment method. The Community Edition is free forever and involves no payment, so nothing is refundable there.
2. 14-day, no-questions-asked refund
Within 14 days of your first purchase of any paid tier you may request a full refund for any reason. We will not ask you to justify it, and we will not refuse on the grounds that you already used the software — vConfig is self-hosted, so evaluating it means deploying it.
3. Renewal charges
Subscriptions renew automatically. If you meant to cancel and were charged anyway, contact us within 7 days of the charge and we will refund that period in full and stop future renewals. After 7 days we refund pro rata for the unused remainder of the period.
4. Upgrades and downgrades
When you upgrade a tier, Paddle credits the unused portion of your current period against the new price and charges only the difference — no refund is issued. Downgrades take effect at the next billing period; the current period is not refunded.
5. If the software does not work
If a defect on our side prevents vConfig from running in an environment that meets the published system requirements, and we cannot fix it in reasonable time, you can request a refund at any point — the 14-day limit does not apply. Please open a ticket first; the large majority of issues are resolved within a few business days.
6. What is not refunded
- A period you have already used in full, requested near its end (simply cancel — you will not be charged again).
- Accounts terminated for breach of the Terms of Service or the EULA.
- Repeated buy-and-refund cycles that are plainly intended to avoid paying.
7. How to request one
Either route works:
- Email [email protected] with your order number or the email you purchased with; or
- Open a ticket on the support page and pick the “Billing” type.
We reply and act within 2 business days. Once Paddle issues the refund it normally reaches your original payment method in 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. You can also look up orders, download invoices and manage your subscription yourself at paddle.net using your purchase email.
8. What happens to the software
After a refund the corresponding license is deactivated: once the current billing period and the 15-day grace period end, vConfig stops accepting new devices. All of your configuration history, backups and monitoring data are kept and the devices you already manage keep working — resubscribe at any time to restore full capacity.
